Our DADGAD coffeehouse, named after an alternate, Celtic-style guitar tuning, is an open microphone coffeehouse in Orono, Maine. Whether you come to perform or simply to watch and enjoy, you'll find a relaxed setting encouraging expression, creativity, diversity, and respect. Our supportive atmosphere has given many first-time performers the confidence to play in front of an audience.

Performers of all abilities, disciplines, and genres are welcome. Our Format consists of an open jam for the first 90 minutes followed by an open mic. A small $3 fee (free to those twelve and under) covers the jam, open mic, and coffee and goodies in our walk-in kitchen. Our monthly challenges provide a bit of focus for performers and often culminate in wonderfully personal creations. We also have a mailing list to keep you abreast of upcoming coffeehouse happenings. Thanks to your participation and feedback this coffeehouse continues to grow and evolve.

Our special thanks go to the Town of Orono and Norm Poirier, Orono Parks and Recreation, for his wholehearted and continued support of this endeavor and to Matt Baya, Svaha LLC, for hosting this web site and graciously providing technical assistance. Our special thanks also go to all of you who stay after the coffeehouse to help with us break-down.

Currently three of us (Larry Latour, Leslie Latour, and Steve Philbrick) manage the coffeehouse, and a number of others graciously help to setup, breakdown, repair equipment, run the kitchen and the soundboard, and provide a supportive community for everyone. Thank you all so much!
